In 2017, Schell Brothers, a prominent homebuilder in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, transformed a dream into reality by creating Schellville, a magical Christmas village. What began as a cozy, heartwarming display featuring nine intricately decorated miniature houses has blossomed into a sprawling 5.5-acre holiday celebration that delights both children and adults. Here’s a closer look at this enchanting experience that has become a beloved tradition for the local community - and visitors from all over.

Schellville: Enchanted Winter Celebration

Over the years, Schellville has grown tremendously, evolving into a premier destination for holiday cheer. In 2021, Schellville announced an ambitious expansion, increasing its footprint to 5.5 acres packed with festive fun. This growth brought:

• Train Rides: Climb aboard the Schellville Express for a scenic tour of the village.

• Snow Zone: Engage in playful snowball fights with magical snow falling for 15 minutes every hour.

• Santa & Mrs. Claus: Meet the jolly couple in person and share your Christmas wishes.

• Artisan Alley: Explore unique, handcrafted creations from over 20 local vendors.

• Miniature Houses: Discover over 20 kid-sized houses with themed activities like grocery shopping, pet care, and even an iHeart Radio studio.

Activities for All Ages! Schellville offers a wide array of activities to ensure there’s something for everyone:

• Roller Skating: Glide across the outdoor roller rink. Bring your skates or rent a pair for $5.

• Sled Hill: Zoom down a synthetic snow hill on innertubes, weather permitting.

• Tree Maze: Wander through a twinkling maze of Christmas trees while enjoying nearby food trucks and local breweries.

• Live Music: Dance to live performances that bring energy and joy to the winter air.

• Food & Drink: Indulge in seasonal treats at the Glühwhein Lounge, Coffee House, Starboard Bar, and various food trucks.

Schellville is a free annual event located behind Tanger Outlets Seaside in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The holiday village opens its doors from December 12 to 23 and December 26 to 30, with daytime hours from 1–4 PM (ideal for young children and seniors) and evening hours from 5–9 PM. On December 31, the festivities run from 4–7 PM.

Admission: Free to the public.

Parking: Free onsite parking is available but limited. Additional parking and free shuttle service are offered at Epworth Church and Rehoboth Little League Fields. Handicap parking is behind the Tanger building on a first-come, first-serve basis.
