Oceans Calling Festival Returns to Ocean City: Bigger and Better for 2024

We are gearing up for another unforgettable musical extravaganza as the Oceans Calling Festival makes its much-anticipated return from September 27 to September 29, 2024. Following its inaugural success (after a cancelled first year due to weather), this year’s festival promises an even grander celebration of music, community, and coastal charm.

Last year's debut was nothing short of spectacular. With an impressive roster of over 30 artists and a staggering 50,000 attendees each day, the festival set a new standard for live music events in Ocean City. The Atlantic Ocean's scenic backdrop provided a stunning setting for the diverse array of genres and performances. Now, Oceans Calling is back, and this year’s lineup is set to elevate the experience to new heights.

The 2024 Oceans Calling Festival is showcasing an impressive array of talent across three days. Headliners include the iconic punk rockers Blink-182, the eclectic Cage the Elephant, and the legendary Sublime. Festival-goers can also look forward to sets from 311, O.A.R., and The Revivalists. With a mix of rock, indie, reggae, and pop, the festival caters to a wide range of musical tastes.

The Killers, known for their electrifying performances, will also take the stage, along with The Offspring, Sugar Ray, and The Darkness. Fans of alternative and indie rock won’t want to miss Young the Giant and Mt. Joy. Plus, the festival will feature a special set by O.A.R. and Friends, promising a unique and memorable experience.

The festival’s eclectic lineup extends to bands like Counting Crows, Blues Traveler, and Big Head Todd and the Monsters, while Boyz II Men and Barenaked Ladies offer a nostalgic touch. Jade Bird, Larkin Poe, Lisa Loeb, and Stephen Kellogg round out the lineup, ensuring a variety of sounds and styles.

Beyond the music, Oceans Calling 2024 is also set to delight food enthusiasts with appearances by acclaimed chefs Robert Irvine, Amanda Freitag, and Marc Murphy. Hosted by actor Jason Biggs, these culinary stars will bring their expertise and flair to the festival, offering cooking demonstrations and interactive experiences.

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to indulge in a diverse selection of gourmet offerings from local vendors and food trucks, ensuring a delectable complement to the musical festivities.

Oceans Calling remains committed to environmental sustainability and community engagement. Last year’s festival was praised for its eco-friendly practices, including composting and recycling initiatives. The 2024 event will continue to emphasize green practices, with water refill stations and waste reduction efforts in place.

Local businesses and residents have embraced the festival’s impact, recognizing its role in boosting the local economy and enhancing Ocean City's cultural landscape. The festival’s commitment to both the environment and the community is evident in its continued support for local vendors and initiatives.

With its return in 2024, Oceans Calling is poised to become a staple of Ocean City's cultural calendar. The festival’s organizers, artists, and participants are all gearing up for what promises to be another unforgettable weekend of music, food, and community spirit.
